He has trained with top PGA instructors such as Grant Waite and LPGA and KPGA players Misun Cho and Kelly Shon.
His career accomplishments include playing for New York University, winning the Elmira Invitational, ECAC and competing in the NCAA Championships and Mackenzie Tour-Q-School.
This year, Gabe will dedicate time outside of his tournament schedule to pursue a lifelong interest in golf instruction at Alley Pond Golf Center.
Gabe Lee works year-round with a range of leading instructors in the golf industry, including swing coaches, strength trainers, and sports psychologists.
His experience with data tools, Trackman, VI, Swing Catalyst, SAM Puttlab, and Aimpoint, combined with deep course management knowledge and various schools of swing thought offer students a tour-level approach to the game of golf – no matter their handicap.
Lessons are aimed to build around the individual student’s swing and natural tendencies and include multi-stage assessments, video analysis, an off-hours helpline, as well as bespoke tips and drills straight from inside the ropes. (There will be homework!)
I made the decision to turn professional in 1988 and my first position was teaching Professional/First Assistant at Siwanoy C.C. in Bronxville, NY.
After successfully completing the necessary requirements, I became a Class A member of the PGA in 1993.
I was hired in 1993 as Head Golf Professional for Golden Bear Center at Alley Pond and continued with this company for 10 years.
My promotions with them include Head Professional/General Manager of their Randall’s Island facility, and finally as District Manager/Director of Golf Instructions for Queens, The Bronx, and Long Island. My outstanding teaching is understandable not only because of my ability to customize lessons to my students, but also when you look at my impressive teaching background.
I have been certified as Instructor/Master of the connected swing by the Colbert-Ballard School, and certified instructor by the Jack Nicklaus-Jim Flick School.
I have given over 20,000 individual lessons to all ability levels and ages in the Tri-State area.
My expertise includes, but is not limited to being a game improvement specialist and expert video analyst.
